Meet the Author!

*Puts out hand in the virtual world to shake* Nice to meet you!

Hello there! I'm not good at these things, so, you've been warned.

My name is Taylor. I'm the co-author of Crown of Sunlight, me and Payton's soon to be debut novel. It will be the first in a four book series, and I couldn't be more excited! I live in Ohio with my husband and two beautiful children. My life is busy and chaotic and hectic, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My family inspires me the most. I hope that when my children watch me going after my dreams it will give them the courage to go after their own. I have a huge family, and they really are my, well, OUR, biggest fans. Seeing how Payton and I are cousins. They have encouraged us to keep writing even when they read our first very very rough drafts that I know had to have made them want to gouge out their eyes.

To become an author is a dream I've had for a while now. I've always loved telling stories! I love watching people get so immersed in a story, hanging on every word and wondering what happens next! Reading to me is like watering the soil in my brain. Writing is an outlet that's fun and stressful and incredibly difficult, but I love it so much! I can't imagine not writing now, especially with all the extra worlds and characters that live inside my head waiting to get out.

Writing with Payton has been amazing! A lot of people wonder how we write a book together, but, in my opinion, it's been so much better! We always have a second opinion about things. We can take turns on social media, which, once you start writing and trying to make a name for yourself, becomes a full-time job. I think a lot of people think Payton and I are extremely professional, and have, like, an office of our own and that we write at the same exact time every night, but it's not like that. We honestly sit there acting like idiots for the first thirty minutes, acting out scenes, thinking of dumb stuff certain characters would say. Laughing more when we imagine all the torture we're going to put our characters through... yeah, I know, we're not quite right in the head, but it somehow works for us. We, of course, both have other projects we're working on alone, but we also plan to write other series together as well, because, as Payton said, "we just click". Once you write a book with someone it's seriously as if you learn to read their mind. We tell people we're two halves of a whole idiot. Our brains have merged and our subconscious is living a very adventurous, scary, and romantic life in the world of Writhia.

Well now that I've rambled on and on, I guess I should wrap this up. So, in conclusion: I'm married. A mom. A writer. A coffee addict. A reading addict. An idiot. An extroverted introvert. I love undisrupted snow, and badass woman warriors, and poc and disabled and LGBTQ representation in books. I love to dance, and am actually kind of good at it. Swimming is fun, and I would love to live in a cabin in the mountains in the middle of nowhere with a golden retriever and a pet bear that I'd name Smokey.

Anyways, shoot me a message on here if you want to talk. I'm a night owl, and will most likely get back to you pretty quickly. I hope everyone who reads this is blessed with magical fairy dust and lives an awesome and adventurous life!
